Dólar Acelera Ganhos Após Nomeação De Novo Diretor De Política Monetária Do Banco Central.

O dólar à vista acelerou os ganhos na tarde desta segunda-feira, após o ministro da Fazenda, Fernando Haddad, anunciar a indicação do secretário-executivo da Pasta, Gabriel Galípolo, para a diretoria de Política Monetária do Banco Central.

Apesar de o nome de Galípolo já circular há algumas semanas no mercado, a oficialização gerou um movimento de proteção dos investidores no dólar, o que impulsionou as cotações.

A avaliação é de que, com o braço-direito de Haddad no BC, o governo terá mais força para interferir na política monetária – alvo de críticas do presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva em função do nível atual da taxa básica Selic, de 13,75% ao ano.

Às 12h08 (horário de Brasília), pouco antes do nome de Galípolo ser oficializado, o dólar era cotado a 4,9557 reais(+0,24%). Às 12h11, com a indicação confirmada, a moeda norte-americana já era negociada a 4,9813 reais (+0,76%). Na sequência, continuou a subir.

Às 13:53 (de Brasília), o dólar à vista avançava 1,17%, a 5,0013 reais na venda. Na B3 (BVMF:B3SA3), às 13:53 (de Brasília), o contrato de dólar futuro de primeiro vencimento subia 0,80%, a 5,0240 reais.
